Dear Families,
We learned about the letter Zz this week. Now we know all the letters, and we will continue working on reading words! We made Zz booklets. Days of the week were reviewed by making little booklets. Zoos and zoo animals were discussed. We learned that s and h put together make one sound, and we learned the word she. Centers included painting zebras, a zoo animal worksheet , word bingo, buying items with nickels, planting zucchinis or zinnias, listening to a story about a zoo on a tape, and working with a zoo kit.
Sharing for the rest of the year is free choice.
Kindergartners will have the week of April 21 - 25 off because of kindergarten round up. They will return on Monday, April 28th.
****We need a snapshot or school picture of every kindergartner for an art project in May. We would like you to send the picture as soon as possible! These will be used in a project so they will not be returned to you.****
Grandparent’s Days are scheduled for Thursday, May 8th and Friday, May 9th. Grandparents may attend either of those days. Official invitations will be decorated soon and sent home.
Since there is no snow on the ground, boys and girls do not have to bring snowpants. Boots are necessary until the mud dries up. Children that do not bring boots may have to stay on the hard surface areas and may not be allowed to play on the equipment when it is so wet and muddy.
Please make sure that your child has an extra set of clothes at school. Accidents happen, and we are running out of clothes to put them in!
We have a mystery pair of boots. They are black on the outside with white fuzzy insides with velcro closures. This pair is not marked with a name or initials. Please help us with this mystery!
Have a fantastic weekend!
Ms. Howard, Mrs. Owens, Mrs. Pokorny, and Mrs. Herink
